Cub Scout Pack 192...Your Son's Journey to Excellence Continues Here!

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 192 located in Wayne, NJ.

We have been a Boy Scouts of America, nationally acclaimed, Journey to Excellence Gold Standard Unit for the last four years.

Our leaders have over 50 years of combined scouting experience. Some attained the rank of Eagle Scout when they were Scouts. All leaders are fully trained in accordance with BSA guidelines and standards, including Youth Protection. In 2012, Pack 192 boasted the District Cubmaster of the Year and Den Leader of the Year as chosen by the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In 2014, Pack 192 again had the Den Leader of the Year.

Our charter organization is Immaculate Heart of Mary Church but we are a non-denominational pack. All faiths and beliefs are welcome. We primarily look for Cub Scouts who are starting 1st (Tigers) or 2nd grade (Wolves) in September of the school year. It is optimal to begin the Cub Scout Program during these years. But if a boy becomes interested in 3rd (Bears) or 4th grade (Webelos) that is also great... because after Cub Scouts the adventure kicks into a higher gear with the Boy Scouts.

Our annual events include:
* Fall opening campfire, show and campout
* Popcorn fundraiser
* Raingutter Regatta
* Pinewood Derby
* Blue and Gold Banquet
* Cake Bake
* Spring closing BBQ Sports Tailgate
* New Jersey Jackals baseball game and outfield campout

Yes we have fun, but along the way we stress Family Values, Citizenship, Community Service, and Entrepreneurship. Our scouts learn the essence of teamwork. Not the teamwork where the best boy gets the ball so victory is achieved, but teamwork where boys participate equally to achieve their goals.

If you are interested in joining, or just learning more, email our Membership Chair at recruitment@pack192.com. We will be happy to call you and discuss our Pack if you would like.

Is your son entering the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Grade? Have you ever thought about introducing him to a program that teaches leadership, supports community service, builds character, promotes healthy living and offers year-long outdoor activities? Cub Scout Pack 192 of IHM in Wayne is hosting two events to meet new families and introduce them to the possibilities of Scouting.

Duty to God, religious medal information.

Posted on Dec 29 2013 - 7:27am

At each level of Cub Scouting a Cub Scout must complete a "Duty to God" requirement. In many cases earning a religious emblem (or medal) will fulfill this requirement. September is a great time to start working toward earning a religious medal, as many of the activities in your son's religious education classes may mirror the requirements for the medal of your faith.
